Financial Information

How are financial arrangements handled?

MAKING ARRANGEMENTS:
Please contact the Center prior to surgery to make financial arrangements and to be sure you are pre-admitted or to ask questions. In most cases, we should be able to estimate the cost of surgery beforehand. Our staff will help you finalize your financial arrangements before surgery. We require that all payment arrangements be made before surgery.

Please check with your insurance company for pre-admission requirements such as second opinions and pre-admission certification. This will facilitate the admitting process.

CHARGES:
Billing for the Center and physician are separate. The Center charges include use of the operating room and equipment and supplies for surgery. Your surgeon and anesthesiologist, radiologist and pathologist (if applicable) will bill you separately for their services.

PAYMENTS:

  1. Uninsured and/or cash patients will be required to pay for services on or before the admission date.
  2. Patients with verified insurance will be required to pay ONLY their portion on or before the day of surgery.
  3. MasterCard and Visa are accepted.
  4. The Surgical Center will bill your insurance company as a courtesy; however, the balance due is the patient's responsibility and payment will be requested from you unless your insurance company pays within 60 days.
  5. Medicaid patients must have a current valid medical card with them at the time of admission.

THE CENTER MAY BE WILLING TO WORK WITH PATIENTS ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS IN REGARDS TO FINANCIAL MATTERS.

American Diabetes Month

One in 400 children has Type I or Juvenile Diabetes. For a child with the disease, that means a life of taking insulin, measuring blood glucose levels, monitoring eating habits, and careful exercise. As difficult as that sounds, a little planning goes a long way, according to the American Diabetes Association. Find out more about diabetes by clicking on any of the following links.
