Expectations

What should I expect when I arrive at the Center?

On the day of your procedure, you should arrive at the scheduled appointment time to allow time for admitting and pre-procedure preparation. If you have not already done so, you will also be asked to sign a consent form for your procedure, which acknowledges your permission for the physician and facility to care for you. If the patient is a minor, this form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Please limit the number of people who accompany you to the Center. To maximize the comfort of all visitors, we suggest that adult patients be accompanied by only one person. This person may be with you before and after surgery. However, we do encourage both parents of the pediatric patient to come to the Center.

MAKE OTHER FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS. THESE ARRANGEMENTS MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO ADMISSION AND MUST BE APPROVED BY THE ADMINISTRATOR.

American Diabetes Month

One in 400 children has Type I or Juvenile Diabetes. For a child with the disease, that means a life of taking insulin, measuring blood glucose levels, monitoring eating habits, and careful exercise. As difficult as that sounds, a little planning goes a long way, according to the American Diabetes Association. Find out more about diabetes by clicking on any of the following links.
